Tool 02 · Combinations
COMBO
GENERATOR.
Six punches, plus kicks, knees and elbows. Generate a combination, then take it to the bag or the pads.
How to use it
READ IT.
THEN THROW IT.
Pick a discipline and a difficulty, then hit next. Each chip shows the number and the name, so you can learn the boxing numbering while you work. In Muay Thai mode, kicks, knees and elbows are added to the pool.
Start with beginner
Short combinations built from the jab, cross and basic kicks. Clean beats complicated.
Say the numbers out loud
Speaking the combination forces you to process it before you throw it, which is exactly what a coach is doing.
Use auto for rounds
Set a new combination every 10, 20 or 30 seconds and work through the changes without touching the screen.
Throw every punch back to the guard. If the combination falls apart, slow it down before you add power. Estimates only — a coach on the pads is still the best feedback.
1Jab
Jab
Boxing numbers: 1 jab, 2 cross, 3 lead hook, 4 rear hook, 5 lead uppercut, 6 rear uppercut. Throw every punch back to the guard.
The numbering
SIX PUNCHES.
ONE LANGUAGE.
Numbers assume an orthodox stance: left foot forward, left hand lead. Southpaw mirrors the hands, not the numbers.
Jab
Lead-hand straight punch. Measures distance and sets up the rest of the combination.
Cross
Rear-hand straight punch. Power comes from the rear foot and hip rotation.
Lead hook
Lead hand around the outside of the guard. Elbow bent, hips turning.
Rear hook
The same shape with the back hand. Shorter range than it looks.
Lead uppercut
Lead hand from below. Legs bend and drive upward; the arm follows.
Rear uppercut
Rear hand from below. More power, more time — use it when you are already close.
Muay Thai additions
BEYOND
THE HANDS.
Muay Thai uses the whole body. These are the kicks, knees and elbows the generator adds in Muay Thai mode.
Lead teep
The push kick. Good for distance, disruption and setting up a punch.
Rear roundhouse
The rear-leg kick. Turn the hip over and return to stance.
Switch kick
Switch the feet and kick with the new lead leg. Timing matters more than speed.
Low kick
A kick to the leg. Keep the balance and do not overreach.
Knee
Close-range knee strike. Hips drive, hands control the partner's posture.
Elbow
Close-range elbow. Keep it controlled in training and follow your coach.
Generator questions
BEFORE YOU THROW.
What do the numbers mean?
1 jab, 2 cross, 3 lead hook, 4 rear hook, 5 lead uppercut, 6 rear uppercut. The tool shows the names beside the numbers.
Can beginners use this?
Yes. Use the beginner level and throw combinations slowly in the air or on a bag. Clean technique first.
Does it work for Muay Thai?
Yes. Switch to Muay Thai mode to add teeps, roundhouses, switch kicks, low kicks, knees and elbows.
Should I train these alone?
Shadow boxing and bag work are fine alone. Pad work and partner drills need a coach or an experienced partner.
